(NASHVILLE, Tenn., September 30, 2010) – Executives with Clinix announced today that 100% of the majority interest in Clinix formerly held by PivotHealth, Inc. has been acquired by the company. As a result of the transaction Clinix CEO, Jerry Killough, now owns controlling interest in Clinix. Additional shareholders are Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Leonard McGugin, and external investors, John Phillips and Mike McClintock.
Clinix is a Software as a Service (SaaS) software and services company and a leader in state-of-the-art Practice Management and Electronic Health Record (EHR) software in the healthcare industry. The Clinix products are renowned for their broad range of capabilities, their cost-effectiveness, and ease of use.
Mr. Killough will continue to serve as President and CEO of Clinix, a position he has held for the past fifteen years. Mr. Killough stated, “We are excited to have completed the buyout of Clinix from PivotHealth. PivotHealth was a great partner for five years, and we owe a great deal to the owners of Pivot, John Phillips and Mike McClintock, who have retained personal minority interests in Clinix. Our long established foundation remains the same. All of the owners of Clinix are united in our dedication to continue to develop state-of-the-art software systems for our Billing Company and Physician Practice partners across the United States and provide a wonderful work “home” for our great employees. We will continue to invest in the continuous development of our primary systems, ClinixPM and ClinixMD, and our client services infrastructure so that we can continue to provide the highest level of products and personal service to our clients.”
Killough added, “Our Electronic Health Record system, ClinixMD, has proven especially well accepted, both by our existing Billing Company and Physician Practice partners as well as new clients. Our systems have been proven in the market for many years and they integrate seamlessly, which makes the transition to EHR for Physician Practices considerably easier than many of the systems on the market. The fact that Clinix was recently named for the third time by Inc. Magazine to their Inc. 5000 as one of the fastest growing privately held companies in the United States speaks to the quality of our products and the personal service we provide to our clients.”
